JONON GANSUKH

Actor | Writer | Theatre Artist

My name is Jonon Gansukh, and I’m a Mongolian actor, writer, and producer based in NYC. After graduating with honors from The New School of Drama with a BFA in Acting and Dramatic Arts, I’ve been working hard to create art that sparks connection, cultivates community, and makes storytelling accessible to all.

I am deeply drawn to projects that reframe historical events through a Queer or BIPOC lens, dissect the systems we live in, or are shatteringly honest. My play, ANCIENT HISTORY, performed at The Tank, unearths the untold stories of Queer Asian love throughout history. Acting credits include The Rice Eaters at KaniniFest, Arkansas, Northbound Train at Columbia University, and Lost Melody at the National Theater Institute.

Beyond the stage and camera, I love being a Pokémon almanac, cooking meals for friends, diving into video essays, and supporting fellow artists of color.

So nice to meet you!

I’m excited to get to know you!
